Martin, 43, has collected four gold medals in the opening two days of the four-day championships on Lake Wendouree.
The Wendouree-Ballarat Rowing Club sculler won her third gold in a B category composite quad on Friday and fourth in the women’s C double scull with Tanja Nishibata (Melbourne).
The quad crew also featured Jacqui Hope from Lindisfarne, Tanja Nishibata (Melbourne) and Tamsin Brew (Northshore).
The same crew won the opening event of championships, the women’s A quad scull. Martin’s other victory came on Thursday, in a women’s C single scull.
The composite men’s B eight rounded out the success on day two for Wendouree-Ballarat.
Nigel Sullivan (Mildura), Paul Gray (Pirates), Stuart Welch (UTS), Simon Gadsden (Mercantile), Joseph Walsh (UTS), Adam Woodward (UTS), Paul Myers (WB), Christian Ryan (Melbourne Uni) and cox Michael Toon (Toowoomba) – coached by former St Patrick’s College rowing mentor and now Rowing Australia’s national high performance director Chris O’Brien – followed up their earlier win with another late in the day.
Friday’s victories continued the golden run of Wendouree-Ballarat, taking the hometown club’s gold medal tally to seven.
The championships continue today with an abbreviated program.
Rowing begins at 9am, with 32 events running through to 12.06pm.
