No permit was issued.
The Liberal Party did not apply for a permit until after the signs were erected.
Now, instead of respecting the decision of the council, they are going to apply to VCAT for a hearing.
This will mean that the signs can stay up.
The Liberal Party has no intention of the matter being heard at VCAT on the day after the election they will withdraw the application.
Ballarat residents' respect towards the candidates Louise Stanley, Craig Coltman and Ben Taylor has been greatly reduced by them having complete disregard for local laws.
Not only do they ignore local laws, there have been complaints to the Victorian Electoral Commission in regard to proper authorisation for signs in general.
If these three candidates standing for office cannot abide and respect local laws, how can they expect to be our representatives in State Parliament?
