It is usually hauled around by a 350 horsepower inline six-cylinder diesel.
Not at the Ballarat Show, though. The driving force will be people power.
The Ballarat Show truck pull is back this year.
Teams of 10 will compete to haul the Mercedes-Benz Axor truck 30 metres in the quickest possible time, in order to win the $500 first prize.
The entry fee is $100 per team ($10 per competitor) with profits to be donated to Beyond Blue.
"So far we have four teams but we're still looking for more," Ballarat Agricultural and Pastoral Society vice president Amanda Mason said.
"The prize money is pretty good too, and there is $200 for second place and $100 for third, and it is for a good cause. We will be also collecting for Beyond Blue during the truck pull."
Last year's winning team Sean Weir Fitness is back to defend its title.
There are a diverse range of challengers already, including the Weston family (quite literally a family ranging from teenagers to grandparents) and the Buninyong CFA.
The Ballarat Show starts on Friday, November 7. The truck pull is on Sunday, November 9 from 11am.
