MARTY Busch Reserve received a much-needed boost on Thursday with the Victorian Premier committing $540,000 for an upgrade.

The funding, which will only be provided if the Coalition is re-elected, will be used for an upgrade of the girls change rooms and netball court, as well as the junior football and cricket rooms.
The football surface will also be upgraded, the BMX track and gates will be completed and there will also be a refurbishment of the kitchen area.

ball Netball Club vice-president John Baxter said he was hoping for bipartisan support to get the revamp up and running.
"We are ecstatic. It is a great commitment to the football and netball club here and other users of the precinct," he said. Premier Denis Napthine said the reserve was widely used by the Sebastopol community.
"It has enormous widespread use throughout the community and if we can provide funding to help the various clubs be more active more often then that is a good outcome for the local community," he said
