Peter Williams (Timothy's stepfather)
- The 47-year-old first cousin of Darren Wilson and stepfather of Timothy.
- The man Wilson and his 16-year-old "girlfriend" lured to the girl's Scarsdale home so he could be bashed.
- Told jury he had done maintenance work on the girl's house in the past and had met her several times.
- Said he'd never had any trouble with the girl.
- Spoke of his bond with Timothy. "Most of the time he was with me," he told the jury.
- Said he was scared of his cousin, Darren Wilson. "I was more frightened of him than anything else."
- Said he believed it was Wilson who broke into his home days before the alleged murder and left a threatening note.
- Mr Williams contacted a local policeman and told him he didn't want Wilson coming to his house again.
- He gave the policeman $150, money he owed Wilson, which the officer then gave to Wilson.
- Spoke of the night he was lured to the Scarsdale home.
- Said he was woken by Timothy and his stepdaughter, they had heard people knocking on the door.
- He rang the girl to see if it was her, it was.
- "She just said the she had prowlers over the house," he told the jury.
- "She looked like she was scared."
- Said he and Timothy followed the girl back to her home.
- "He (Timothy) wanted to come along," he said.
- "He wouldn't go anywhere without me."
- He said he was jumped by Wilson when he walked into the Scarsdale home.
- He said Wilson had a pillowcase over his head, but he knew it was him because of his t-shirt.
- Mr Williams said Wilson punched him repeatedly in the nose before Timothy began hitting Wilson with a baseball bat.
- "I noticed Darren went to the ground," he said.
- "I turned around to run out the back door. I thought that he (Timothy) was behind me, running with me, or beside me."
- Said he saw Wilson's co-accused standing at the back door, holding an axe above his head.
- He said he was running towards his car because he wanted to get help and he heard someone yell out "let him go".
- He said he got into his car and tried to call police, but couldn't get any phone reception.
- Said he could see Timothy laying on his stomach.
- "Timmy had his head up in the air... I thought I heard him yelling."
- He then drove up the road where he got phone reception and called triple zero.
- He then drove to his Smythesdale home and picked up Timothy's mother and sister.
- They were heading back to the Scarsdale house when they were stopped by police at the Scarsdale Post Office.
- The police told them Timothy was dead.
Deborah O'Brien (Timothy's mother)
- Told jury she had been in a relationship with Mr Williams for about four years.
- Said she tried to stop Timothy from going with Mr Williams to the Scarsdale home.
- "I did try to stop him," she told the jury.
- "I couldn't stop him."
Witness who cannot be named
- Said the girl who lured Mr Williams to her house was laughing as she did so.
- Cross examined by Wilson's barrister, the witness agreed that the girl had been "jovial and happy".
Belinda Issacs
- The ex-girlfriend of Wilson's co-accused.
- Told the jury that six windows of her Wendouree home were smashed in the early hours on January 5.
- The jury has heard it was Wilson and his co-accused who smashed the windows, with the co-accused using the same axe which was allegedly used to kill Timothy.
Gerard Styles
- Scarsdale man who had known Mr Williams for about 10 years.
- Also knew the 16-year-old girl living at the Scarsdale home where Timothy's body was found.
- Said he'd received a text from the girl after midnight on January 5, 2013.
- "They were scared about some noises they were hearing at the house," he told the jury.
- "I said 'I'll race around now and have a quick look'."
- Said he went around and looked, but couldn't see anything.
- Said he later received a call from the girl who said Wilson had called her and said: 'Gerard wasn't at the house for very long.'
- He also told the jury that he received a call from Peter Williams, about 4.56am on January 5.
- "Peter said 'it's Darren and they've got Timmy on the ground, can you come around and help'," he said.
- Said he also got a call from the girl living at the Scarsdale house, who told him "the (expletive) has hit the fan".
- He said police were already at the house when he arrived.
Lisa Trezise
- Drove Wilson and his co-accused (her boyfriend at the time) to the Scarsdale home of Wilson's "girlfriend" on the night of the alleged murder.
- Also drove Wilson's 16-year-old "girlfriend" to Peter Williams' home so she could lure him back.
- Told the jury she saw both Wilson and the co-accused first punching Timothy and then allegedly hitting him with the axe.
- She said the co-accused initiated the attack on Timothy and then allegedly used the blunt side of the axe to hit him in the head.
- She said Wilson then came outside and started punching Timothy before he grabbed the axe, turned it over to its bladed side and allegedly began striking Timothy to the head.
- She told the jury that Wilson threatened other young children nearby before he and the co-accused directed her to drive them back to Ballarat.
- She said she was then instructed, by Wilson, to put the co-accused in the shower because he was covered in blood.
- She said Wilson then told her to put their clothes in the washing machine, as they were also covered in blood.
- She said Wilson then hid the baseball bat and the axe in a back shed.
- He then called a taxi and left.
Witness who cannot be named
- Had been living at the house where Timothy's body was found for only four days.
- Went with two other women to Peter Williams' home, with one of them luring Mr Williams back to their Scarsdale home.
- Said she was just about to go to bed when Wilson and his co-accused arrived.
- First person she saw was the co-accused, standing in the hallway with an axe.
- "I freaked out, I said 'who the f are you'," she told the jury.
- Said she heard both Wilson and the co-accused discussing a plan to lure Mr Williams to the house, with Wilson saying he would "smash the (expletive) out of him".
- She said Timothy was "happy" when the group went to Mr Williams' home to lure him back.
- She said she asked the others why Timothy was so happy and they told her he was autistic.
- Said she saw Wilson jump from a room and begin punching Mr Williams and said there were "fights" everywhere.
- Said she saw the co-accused on top of Timothy, punching him and that she pleaded with him to get off.
- She said she went into a bathroom with another girl and tried to call the police.
- She said it was in the bathroom that she heard Timothy screaming "really bad".
- She said she and two others then ran from the house and hid in a paddock.
- "We hid in the grass and started calling the police'" she said.
- Said they heard the group, including Wilson and the co-accused, leave in a car.
- Said they returned to the house and saw Timothy dead on the ground.
