A MAN has crawled out the back of the vehicle he was driving after it hit a guard rail and rolled on the Midland Highway near Buninyong at 2pm.

Ballarat Highway Patrol Senior Constable Craig Walker said the north-bound Mitsubishi utility hit a guard rail about five kilometres south of Buninyong.
Senior Constable Walker said emergency services helped stabilise the man - who was not trapped inside the vehicle - for about 10 minutes before assisting him crawl out the back of the utility, which had a canopy on it.
Two Ambulances - Ballarat MICA paramedics and a unit from Sebastopol - attended the scene. Paramedic Sean Duggan said the man, who was found conscious and breathing, was in a stable condition after suffering minor injuries.
Mr Duggan said the man would be transported to Ballarat Health Services Base Hospital.
The north-bound lane of the Midland Highway was closed after the crash. However, Senior Constable Walker expected it to be reopened at 4pm.
He said police would investigate the cause of crash.
