It is a tough assignment. Ballan is the sole district team up in the mix against established BCA club contenders and is left vying for the crown against Mount Clear, Golden Point and its undefeated semi-final rival Ballarat-Redan.
Ballan president and big-hitting batsman Mick Loughnane said his team was ready for the challenge.
“It’s good experience for our young guys and we’ve done all right. A couple of close ones,” he said.
“Hopefully, we’ll go out and give it a good shot. “The competition shows our guys the standard we need to meet against the best in the region.”
Ballan has notched up three wins, beating fellow district teams Burrumbeet, VRI Delacombe and club team Coronet City.
