Adam Frary, 19, left his Canadian home on Monday and was spotted at midday on Wednesday at the intersection of Creswick Road and McArthur Street.
Since telling his family he was going shopping, Mr Frary has not contacted his family or friends, and police believe his disappearance is out of character.
Mr Frary is Caucasian, 183 centimetres tall with a thin build, blonde hair and blue eyes. When last seen he was wearing black shorts and a T-shirt, black sports shoes with white socks and carrying a black sports bag.
