"Reunited and it feels so good," Braff wrote on his cosy-looking Instagram post, quoting the lyrics of Peaches & Herb's Reunited. Fans were chuffed to see their favourite stars together with the photo attracting almost 100,000 likes and comments like "I cannot even."

Scrubs was a popular American comedy that aired from 2001 to 2010. It centred on J.D. and his internal musings, love interests and learning misadventures at Sacred Heart Hospital.

There seemed to be no holding back the affection between Braff and McGinley despite the love-hate relationship of their onscreen characters J.D. and Dr Cox. Unlike his character Dr Cox, McGinley seemed happy to receive Braff's loving cuddles.

Faison, who played J.D.'s best friend Turk, also appeared a little overwhelmed to see his friends again. Faison's son Rocco donned his best sneakers for the occasion. Braff tweeted a photo of one-year-old Rocco's "pimp strut" in his stylish navy tracksuit and sunglasses as he roamed Braff's backyard.

Not everyone from Sacred Heart Hospital was able to make it, however. Missing notables were female co-stars Elliot (Sarah Chalke) and nurse Carla (Judy Reyes). But with Faison and his wife CaCee Cobb expecting a second baby, there may be an excuse for all the gang to meet again.
