A total of 10 players (mostly in the reserves) have submitted clearances to depart Melton Recreation Reserve, most notably star midfielder and Ballarat Football League interleague representative Doug Thomas.
Thomas, alongside Simon Collis and Jonathan Dorey, has put in a clearance to play for Mitiamo in the Loddon Valley Football League.
The gritty midfielder had played at the Panthers for five seasons, amassing a total of 68 games. He was named in the Ballarat Football League team of the year in 2010 and 2011, and was often the standout player at Melton South.
