Already halfway through their Forever Begins Tonight tour, Mollie, Sam and Brooke will appear at Ballarat’s Regent Multiplex on Friday night.
In support of their current single Forever Begins Tonight, the sisters have promised plenty of storytelling at their Ballarat performance, including the story behind Forever Begins Tonight.
Taken from their number one ARIA country album Here’s To You and I, Forever Begins Tonight was The McClymonts’ fi rst dedicated wedding song and while originally planned for Sam’s wedding, it has proven to be a favourite among other newlyweds.
“We were in the recording studio and talking about what’s going on when we realised we never have written a wedding song,” Mollie said.
“We decided to write one for Sam’s wedding.
“We’ve been contacted by fans telling us they are using it for their first wedding dance. It feels great to have a song that is so personal to us to be connecting with other people.
“It’s awesome – that’s what we wanted, we wanted to make it universal and for people to use.”
And now more wedding bells are in sight for The McClymonts, with Mollie recently engaged.
But while they successfully support both their work life and social life evenly, it was never always this easy for the sisters.
“It comes down to work-life balance,” Mollie said.
“In the beginning it was just work, work, work and we got burnt out.
“Then Brooke got pregnant and while we still worked a lot while she was pregnant, when Tiggy was born we realised we needed to enjoy both things.
“Tiggy was a blessing. Now we just go out on the weekends.”
And as for working with your sisters, it was the best decision they ever made.
“We always sung as a hobby, you never think growing up you will make it,” Mollie said.
“If we were friends it might not have worked, but being sisters it works ... we’ve had our meltdowns but we love singing together.”
Toyota Star Maker winners Mickey Pye, Jared Porter and Kaylee Bell, alongside Golden Guitar winner Kristy Cox and nominees Kaylens Rain and Christie Lamb, will also perform on the night.
