A suspicious looking package detonated outside the home of the Australian Consul-General in Bali on Saturday turned out to be a false alarm.

Denpasar police chief Anak Agung Made Sudana said nothing related to a bomb was found in a bag, which had been left by a cleaner.
Locals noticed the bag about 100 metres from Australian Consul-General Majell Hind's residence in Sanur at 11am on Saturday and contacted the police.
The police chief said the bomb squad arrived at 1.50pm and blew up the package, as is standard procedure with suspicious packages.
"But it was just a bag left by a worker," Mr Sudana said. "He was cleaning an aquarium. We found nothing relating to a bomb. Just stuff to clean aquariums - a small aquarium water pump and a couple of drivers' licenses."
