It’s all part of Ballarat Centre of Music and the Arts’ mid-year fundraiser, which will see the Futures in Production junior students perform the Disney classic The Aristocats.
The pupils, aged between six and 10, have spent six months rehearsing for the performance.
“It’s quite funny,” aristocat Alicia Hayashi, 10, said.
Isla Casey, 10, said: “It teaches you about trust – the aristocats have to trust the alley cats to get home.”
The college’s theatre will also host the program’s older performers, who will take part in a production of The Jungle Book and the Broadway musical hit Godspell.
BCMA director Paula Heenan said Sunday’s event was a great chance for the community to get behind the region’s future stars.
“Come and support kids doing performing arts ... they’re amazing at what they do,” she said.
The event will also involve a series of solo performances in drama, singing and dance, and activities including lucky dips, jumping castle, face painting, silent auctions and a book stall.
Performances of The Aristocats will be held at 11.50am and 2.50pm, Godspell at 11.10am and The Jungle Book at 12.40pm.
Entry for the day is by donation with all proceeds going back into the program and charities.
