"No backstabbing." Drink!
Rudd hair-flick. Drink!
Utegate. Drink!
Combet profanity. Drink. Drink. Drink. Pour a new one. Drink again.
ABC TV's The Killing Season kicked off its fascinating look back at the Rudd-Gillard years on Tuesday night and Australia's political junkies reacted exactly as you would expect them to: by getting tipsy and tweeting about it. It was almost like… 9.30pm on a Monday.
(If you were Lisa Wilkinson, however, and have to get up early, you substituted Lindt balls for wine.)
Then there were those who tweeted about ways to get even more drunk while watching the program, with a number of social media users putting down their mug of cleanskin Shiraz (don't judge me) for a second to take to their phone/laptop/tablet/watch and suggest some perfect drinking games to accompany Sarah Ferguson's political grillings.
Clever Katie Purvis already got the jump on most of social media, turning a piece by The Australian's James Jeffrey into a drinking game ahead of The Killing Season airing, but as the the drama played out live, others had more suggestions.
Most popular among them: the Combet profanity drinking game. Which is also the one most likely to get you drunkest most quickly. The former Minister for Climate Change and Energy became the hero of the evening on social media for calling it like it is... but with a colourful turn of phrase.
Combet told Ferguson he "had the s..ts big time" with Rudd and Gillard's plans to oust Kim Beazley, and when Labor lost the House of Representatives and Senate admitted he thought, "F..k this... I'm sick of it." Bottoms up...

Sam Buckingham-Jones might be right when he wrote:
Judging by the number of drinking games, etc on Twitter, there’ll be a lot of very hungover journalists tomorrow morning. #KillingSeason— Sam Buckingham-Jones (@SamEBJones)
