Sutcliffe dominated roles in attack and in the ruck against the Bulldogs, which were no match for the league powerhouse.
While Sutcliffe was most damaging on the scoreboard, it was onballer Ricky Ferraro that was perhaps best for the Burras, while coach Clive Raak praised the efforts of McKay brothers Mitch and Brad.
Raak was simply after a consistent four-quarter effort from his charges and he got it, with first-gamer and under-18 captain Cam Ferrier also enjoying a good game in defence.
Smythesdale coach Stephen Frys said his team was outplayed, particularly through the midfield, but he was pleased with some individual performances from Damien Kennedy across half back, Rylan Rattley in the ruck and Jamie Tung in the engine room.
A positive for the Bulldogs was the appearance of under-18 trio Kaleb Delaland, Matt York and Jayson Porter.
