A decade later it’s now one of Ballarat’s most successful transport concepts.
Gold Bus Ballarat celebrated its 10-year milestone of transport to AFL matches during Friday’s Collingwood v Hawthorn clash.
Gold Bus Ballarat general manager Ross Huntington said the service has become increasingly popular.
“We generally do between two and four trips a weekend,” he said.
“We get a lot of people ring up and ask if it's a single supporters bus or a mixed bus because they don’t want to travel with the enemy.”
Mr Huntington said that Gold Bus Ballarat will hold a raffle for its 38,000 registered users later this year, with the winner to receive free pass for the 2016 AFL season.
