LOCAL philanthropist Bill Gribble will have his art showcased at the Ballaarat Mechanics’ Institute as an ongoing reminder of his generosity.

The two paintings were hung up at BMI on Tuesday morning as a reminder of Gribble’s generosity towards the Ballarat community.
Following in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps, Mr Gribble was a BMI board member and committee member and a generous benefactor.
BMI past president Ann Cato said Mr Gribble was a kind man who was generous with his time, supportive of the BMI and loved by everyone who knew him.
She said the paintings were accompanied by a biography of Mr Gribble in a bid to teach future generations about the renowned Ballarat man.
