The Redan onballer, who was at the centre of a long-running saga to gain clearance from the North Ballarat Roosters, is one of four Ballarat Football League players remaining in a state squad of 26.
Horbury’s Lions teammate Chris Giampaolo, Lake Wendouree’s Lucas Anderson and Sebastopol’s Rowan Marshall are all part of the list, which will be trimmed to a final team of 22 following training on Wednesday night.
The Victoria Country 1 side will then take on the Victorian Amateur Football Association.
Meanwhile, Gordon defender Mark Gunnell has been selected in the Victoria Country 2 side to play against the VAFA Premier B-Division 4 outfit.
North Ballarat youngster Sam Hooper has won his place in the Victoria Country under-19 team, which also meets the VAFA.
All games will be played at Bendigo’s Queen Elizabeth Oval on Saturday.
