Grants are available for women actively involved in coaching, umpiring or administration in the Goldfields region to sharpen their game and help achieve their football goals within existing football pathways.
Goldfields commissioner Sue Brown launched the inaugural AFL Goldfields program at Ballarat Football League's Women Making A Mark luncheon on Friday.
AFL Goldfields will fund three scholarships annually with applicants able to apply for $500 grants. Scholarships are open to women in paid and voluntary roles in AFL Goldfields affiliated clubs or leagues
Applications for the 2016 program close October 30.
