The Graintech Crows hit the lead at the 18-minute mark of the second term and never looked back, recording a 10.10 (70) to 5.9 (39) win against the reigning champions.
Beaufort held the Demons to just three majors after quarter time, with Michael Foster (three goals), Levi Cox and Jacob Garvey among the standouts for the hosts. Chris O'Keefe, Leigh Billington (two goals) and Rick Cummins flew the flag for Bungaree.
Elsewhere in round 14, Gordon boosted its top four chances and damaged Hepburn's with a 28-point victory.
The Hyundai Eagles led by just two points at the final change, but kicked away with five goals to one in the last term.
Even without gun forward Paul McMahon, Springbank kept its winning stretch going and jumped to second on the ladder - percentage behind Bungaree - with a 48-point triumph against Waubra, while Buninyong held Creswick goalless in a 102-point success.
Ballan locked in a finals berth by beating Dunnstown, Clunes got home over Smythesdale, Learmonth was too strong for Rokewood-Corindhap, Daylesford triumphed against Carngham-Linton and Newlyn snuck over the line against Skipton.
