American Booker returned to the Miners for a second season with “unfinished business” after an Achilles injury cut his South East Australian Basketball League short last year.
Booker has averaged 25.1 points and 5.2 assists in his comeback. He tops the league in average points, total match points (602) and three-pointers made (91).
Wehrung returned to Rush from her first debut WNBL season with Canberra Capitals and joined Kristy Rinaldi as a co-captain. She averaged 17.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and ranked fourth in the league for three-pointers made (51). A former Ballarat junior, Wehrung will start pre-season with the Capitals in a fortnight.
