With just two rounds remaining in the season, the Vikings host top team Brimbank Stallions in without doubt their most important part of the season.
They currently sit three premiership points behind Brimbank, as well as second-placed team Maribyrnong Greens.
In a genuine log-jam at the top end of the table, Sebastopol is behind third team Melbourne City on goal difference alone and just one point ahead of fifth-placed Bell Park.
The side that finishes first gains automatic promotion, while the runner-up has to win two playoff games to rise the ranks.
Rather than consider the numerous scenarios that could possibly unfold in the last two weeks, coach Michael Busija says his side can focus only on the match that awaits on Saturday.
“If you said at the start of the year we would be three points off top spot with two rounds to go, we would have taken it,” he said.
“We know this week that Brimbank can potentially lock in promotion with a win so they have a lot to play for.
“That pressure can also make sides falter at the last hurdle so we know there could be that opportunity.”
Kyran Taylor will play his first match in about a month after recovering from a hamstring injury and is expected to be used as a substitute and come on around the 60-minute mark.
