Council will support two community members to take part in the year-long forum, which encourages people to listen, connect, experience, think, question and broaden their understanding of how they can lead in their community to achieve positive change.
The Pyrenees Shire Community Scholarship is available for anyone who lives or works in the shire and covers the full cost of the program.
Pyrenees Shire Council chief executive Jim Nolan said the forum was a great opportunity to develop community leaders.
“Supporting emerging leaders to build their skills through this forum helps build community resilience,” he said.
LBWR is hosting an information session in Ballarat on September 16 from 4.30pm to 6pm at Tech Park Central, 107 Lydiard Street South.
