FORMER Miner Nathan Sobey has opted to play his NBL off-season in his hometown. The Adelaide 36ers guard launched his NBL career after a season with Ballarat Miners in the SEABL last year. He transferred from Cairns Taipans to the 36ers this summer. Sobey will play for Big V division one club Warrnambool Seahawks, where his brother Jacob is club president. The 36ers offer players the option to play in the off-season with a club of their choice.
