BATWOMAN Gail Elsey is forming a super alliance with a whole community of superheroes to add more power to a lake-side walk. The call is out for everyday heroes to don their cape and masks for the celebration walk at Lake Wendouree as part of the annual Cycle Classic Ballarat. Entire entry fees fun projects at the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute, which was inspired by Ms Elsey’s daughter Fiona who died from cancer in 1991.

“It’s important to have fun and there are really important health benefits for people involved,” Ms Elsey said. Fiona was an enthusiastic cyclist and Ms Elsey said her daughter would have loved to watch the Classic’s growth.
