CORONET City Cricket Club’s new fundraising event for Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre and cricket youth development is already hitting sixes. Cricket for a Cause has reached maximum entries of 28 teams, drawing outfits from across the state for the seven-aside format. Event organiser Brendan Everard said there was plenty of fun for spectators at Victoria Park on Sunday, including an auction, cricketers’ sprints and all-day play for children with Ballarat Kelly Sports. Action from 9am. www.coronetcitycc.com
