Ballarat Grammar School looms as a genuine challenger, however, after a series of impressive races since finalising its crew in mid-January.
Meanwhile, reigning boys division one champion Ballarat Grammar School faces stiff competition as it attempts to go back-to-back.
Both Ballarat Clarendon College and St Patrick’s College have shown enough over the summer to suggest that they are right in the hunt for the prestigious title.
Ballarat High School has also impressed with its form and could surprise on the big day.
Crews have just over two weeks to prepare before the regatta takes place on Friday, February 26.
