The Red Caps secured an easy first innings win against North Ballarat on Saturday, but were unable to land the outright victory and now sit six points and percentage behind fourth-placed Mt Clear heading into the last round of the home and away season.
North Ballarat - which resumed day two at 3-20 - was skittled for 105 just after tea and was 5-87 when stumps were pulled late Saturday afternoon.
Brett Severino (42 not out) and Jason Crosbie (six not out) carried the Roosters through to the end of the day and denied their rivals all 10 points.
Wendouree is likely to chase an outright win again in the round 13 clash with Ballarat-Redan in the hope it can jump one of the teams inside the top four.
Just three points separates the top four, with Darley climbing to the summit of the ladder thanks to its hard-fought victory against Mt Clear.
The Lions and Golden Point meet in the last round, with Brown Hill (East Ballarat) and the Mounties (Napoleons-Sebastopol) favourites to win their respective matches.
