Te has signed for Fortress Jiangmen, a fully professional club which play in a competition known as the Pearl River League.
The 19-year-old former Damascus College student was spotted while playing in last year’s Australian National Futsal League and during January's national championships.
Ballarat FC and Victoria Country head coach Corey Smith described Te as “one of the most dedicated and motivated players I have ever coached”.
“Brian is captain of Ballarat FC and was also captain of our national-winning youth side, which shows his maturity levels and what he can bring to a team,” Smith said.
“It would be great if Brian was to pave the way for other emerging talent to follow.”
Te, who can speak basic Chinese, was scouted by Australian Futsal chief executive Alistair Miller, who is also a director of the Pearl River competition.
Te is set to leave Australia for China on February 25.
