The owners have put it up for sale five years after buying it and putting significant resources into renovations.
Real estate agents Colliers International said in a statement the owners consortium Castle Tourism and Entertainment decided it was the right time to sell.
“Given the growth in visitation and buyer appetite, they now feel the time is right for a new owner to usher this unique property into its next phase,” said agent Guy Wells.
“Both local and offshore interest is already being fielded.”
The 10.967ha the castle sits on will be included in the sale.
The castle’s builder Keith Ryall died last year and was farewelled in true medieval style within its walls.
Before the current owners took over the castle had gone threw a tumultuous sale process, with a sale falling through and an offer from brothel owners rejected.
