Hawthorn premiership player Brad Hill has been caught up in an investigation after a suburban nightclub brawl left another man with facial injuries.

An altercation broke out at Empire in Narre Warren about 12.30am on January 24. Hill had been with two women at the club.
A 21-year-old man from Berwick was treated for minor facial injuries as a result of the fight, a police spokeswoman said.
Hill and a 22-year-old woman from Pakenham were interviewed by detectives from the Casey crime investigation unit, who are still investigating the incident.
A spokesman for the nightclub declined to comment on the incident, or whether it had been captured on CCTV. One of the club's owners is a former AFL player, but is not believed to be close with Hill.
Hill is understood to have told Hawthorn he merely observed the incident, and the club is believed to have accepted his version of events.
The club said in a statement that it was aware of the investigation.
"Hawthorn Football Club is aware that one of its players is assisting police in an investigation into a report of alleged altercation on January 24th.
"As the matter is under investigation the club will not be making further comment at this time."
