Eureka Mums is calling on families to donate toiletry bags to mothers who don’t have a permanent home.
Locals are being asked to pack the bag, writing a loving note and then take a photo of the gift and post it on Instagram using the hashtag #onemothertoanother.
Eureka Mums volunteer Trinsa Lewis said she is always touched to hear how these simple but generous gifts can make such a difference to a mother’s well-being.
“In some families there isn't anyone else around to spoil mum on Mothers day,” Ms Lewis said.
“This is one way for us to recognise these mums, to let them know that even when the job isn't easy that other mums relates to what they are doing and we all appreciate their work.”
Eureka Mums is calling for toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, hairbrushes, hair ties, combs and shampoo, as well as other items.
Gifts should be to be delivered to the warehouse in Sebastopol by the end of April.
