Eagles from Queensland steps straight out of Fox Footy pay television show The Recruit to add to the Selkirk Roosters big man stocks.
Daniel Cox, who previously played in north-west Western Australia, will also make his first appearance for North Ballarat in the round seven fixture.
While like Eagles he has also been involved in The Recruit, Cox was secured by the Roosters in the pre-season period and trained with them for seven weeks before taking on the Fox Footy commitment.
Head coach Marc Greig said the 199cm frame of Eagles would be a massive boost – providing added support in the ruck for Orren Stephenson and Rowan Marshall.
Eagles and small forward Cox were among five changes announced by North Ballarat as it strives to snap a four-game losing run and climb off the bottom.
Lachie George is a huge inclusion after missing three games with a strained calf.
Ben Simpson has also been recalled after one week with North Ballarat City in the Ballarat Football League, while North Ballarat Rebels’ Jacob Wheelahan from Bacchus Marsh replaces Keegan Mellington as 23rd player.
While the experienced George is a welcome return, injuries continue to take a toll with Liam Youl (hamstring) out for four to six weeks and Andrew Boseley struck down with abductor trouble.
Jacob Werts is unavailable, while Jono Lanyon has been left out.
NICK Rippon and Luke Kiel have survived the first cut to the VFL squad to be among 25 players continuing to prepare for a clash with the SANFL in Adelaide on Sunday, May 29.
