A man and a woman charged over the Bacchus Marsh shooting murder of a Victorian father of five this week have been remanded in custody after appearing in court.

Victorian father of five Paul Hogan was murdered when a shotgun was fired at his head at close range as he was reversing out of his driveway, court documents reveal.
They also allege a woman who was living with him in Bacchus Marsh, Yu Lo, 26, enlisted the help of Thornbury man Daniel Duhovic, 33, to murder Mr Hogan.
Police on Tuesday found Mr Hogan fatally shot in the head in his van, in Labilliere Street in Bacchus Marsh.
The court documents say Duhovic stood about four feet away from Mr Hogan, who was reversing out of his driveway, pointed a shotgun at the victim's head and pulled the trigger on Tuesday.
Duhovic and Lo faced the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with murder.
Lo, wearing a red jumper and sporting what looked like a bruised right eye, was not required to speak in the brief hearing before Magistrate Peter Dunn on Thursday.
Lawyers for Lo said she was finding her first time in custody stressful.
Dressed in a grey t-shirt and beige cargo pants, Duhovic, who was also not required to speak, stared straight ahead in the dock.
Neither applied for bail and both were remanded in custody to appear again in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on October 20.
