TOASTED sandwiches and raisin bread, teamed with cakes, biscuits and a good cuppa allowed Classic and Vintage Car Club Ballarat to raise almost $1000 – and counting – for cancer research in its hometown. The club’s annual Classic Morning Tea raises money for Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute. Club member Tony Taranto said the club liked that the money remained in Ballarat. FECRI honorary director George Kannourakis was guest speaker for this year’s event at the club’s Humffray Street base.
