Artist Anna King has used the theme of Wendouree’s flower street names such as Wattle Avenue, Primrose Street and Waratah Grove to cover the shed as part of a total garden makeover for the centre. The mural includes a total of 34 different flower motifs. Ms King said it took several months of part-time work to complete the painting.
“The weather started to change and I had to race to be finished by Anzac Day,” Ms King said.
Bunnings Warehouse donated the paint for the project, and manager Manya Ferwerda says macGARDENS from Napoleons were also donating their time and efforts to help refurbish the centre’s garden.
