But she was glad she was talked into taking part by her friends.
“I realised how much fun and how exciting it was going to be and, after signing up, the shopping started and I couldn’t wait to find a dress,” Madyson said.
Madyson’s deb ball was held at the Flying Horse on Saturday, June 11 and she was partnered by her boyfriend Patrick Dart, who she “couldn’t have imagined doing it without”.
“The best part of the night would be walking down the middle of everyone at the beginning and seeing a massive smile of happiness on my mother’s face.”
She said they performed the cha cha, the Pride of Erin and a few more dances “just for a bit of fun”.
“I would recommend 100 per cent to any girl don’t miss out on the chance of doing a debutante ball.
“It only comes around once for a girl to do it, and it’s the best night you could ever have and definitely one to remember.
“You will be so tired afterwards but don’t say no to doing it or you will be disappointed that you missed out.”
The Courier is looking for debutante ball photographs from the 2016 season, currently in full swing.
