Weir equaled the record set by John Hawkes in the 2002/03 season when his horse Haski was successful in the first race at Murtoa on Tuesday morning.
He will have an opportunity to set a new benchmark later this afternoon when another of his charges takes to the track at Murtoa.
Weir topped the 100 mark in the metropolitan area in Melbourne on Saturday with a training a treble at Flemington.
The success comes after the Weir-trained Prince of Penzance took out the Melbourne Cup last year.
