Mullane, who is better known as Mal, has been long-time Towners servant as player and official.
He first wore a Dunnstown jumper as a 14-year-old after crossing from YCW and went on to chalk up more than 200 games.
Mullane has filled various roles off the field, including a four-year period as president during which time new netball rooms were built, an in-ground watering system installed, playing surface was upgraded, and a $40,000 electronic scoreboard and coach’s box constructed.
He is vice-president at the moment, a position he has filled at various times for 12 years
He has been a social club member for more than 25 years, and has also been part of the sponsorship and recruiting committees.
Mullane’s hands-on football tasks have included reserves for five years and under-18 coach for two seasons.
He was awarded the life membership at an annual club luncheon attended by 200 guests.
