A disgruntled commuter claims V/Line passengers were squashed into three carriages in a peak hour train service from Melbourne to Ballarat yesterday.

The commuter, who declined to be named, says the 17.51pm service from Southern Cross to Wendouree had only three carriages instead of six.
“Overcrowded and no seats even though I got in 10 min(utes) before departure time. Love it,” he said in an email to the The Courier.
“The train remained overcrowded with passengers taking up every available spot and space (including floor) in the carriages.”
The Courier has sent a series of questions to VLine and is awaiting comment.
