Moneghetti said it was a revolutionary move at the time, travelling with a physiotherapist, but he now credits Howley for the continued longevity in his running career.
The Ballarat Olympian is ambassador for the Australian Physiotherapy Association for World Physiotherapy Day on Thursday.
“For me, this is close to my heart,” Moneghetti said. “...I’ve never had a serious injury, we cut any niggles before they became full blown injury. He knew my body well and for me, would take priority over my coach if I needed to back off a little in training.”
Moneghetti said physios could help you move better and with injury prevention that would ultimately help you enjoy exercise more and keep you more active for longer.
