Last year over 500 men, women and families came through the pop up shop, leaving just a handful of toiletries for the next day, organiser Sarah Britten said.
Ballarat business owner Kim-Alexa Sascia stepped into the breach and donated trolleys of food and toiletries to restock the shop on its second day.
“They’re things we all take for granted, we can open up a cupboard and take out something,” Ms Sascia, who owns Alexa’s Treasures, said.
“It’s just little things, especially like toiletries – we’re fortunate that we have it but they really need it and they can’t get it that easily so it’s great to have this set up.”
The pop up shop will be held on Tuesday, October 4 from 2-6pm at E Building, SMB Campus.
