Amy's final dream to meet her hero, singer Robbie Williams

Surrounded by family and friends, Ms Phillips is coming to terms with news the rare form of cancer she has been fighting has spread to her brain.

The people closest to her want to bring her joy in her final days.

The former boxer, who describes herself as a “super fan” of British singer Robbie Williams, would love to see him in concert and meet him when he plays in Sydney on November 21.

Former boxing coach and close friend Rod ‘Rudy’ Ryan has helped set up a social media campaign in the hope of making the wish come true.

“Rudy said ‘well if you want to go to his concert, why not try that one step further?’,” Ms Phillips said.

Ms Phillips has seen the singer in concert every time he visits, including three times in Melbourne last year while she was undergoing treatment. Her favourite songs are Hot Fudge and Feel.

“He’s always been my favourite pop star,” Ms Phillips said.

Two years ago, just as she was on the verge of becoming an amateur boxer, the then-25-year-old found out she had a rare form of bone cancer in her arm.

Since that moment, Ms Phillips has endured 26 weeks of chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, and now the reality that migraines she had been suffering were actually a symptom of the cancer spreading to her brain.

She said she felt shattered and scared.

“You just don’t expect that at 27 your life is going to be cut short,” Ms Phillips said.

“You think you’ve got more things you can do and in your life there will be more travelling and more time with friends and family.”

Ms Phillips recently came back from a six-week trip to Europe and had a trip booked to the US in December.

“I just didn’t quite get to the other end of the bucket list,” she said.

As she faces the end of her journey, Ms Phillips said she just wanted to be with the people she loved.

“You find out who your closest friends and family members are,” she said. “Nothing else really matters in the end.”
