Around 30 life members were briefed at a meeting on where the clubs financial situation was at and what needed to be done to resurrect its crisis.
Board member and premiership captain Shaune Maloney is leading the charge with ex-players and fans alike being urged to buy a membership.
Club chairman Jenny Bromley said the support in the room was prominent and the strong showing left the meeting with a clear direction to keep the Roosters as a mainstay in the Victorian Football League.
“The support is there, absolutely,” Bromley said.
“The big thing is all the life members are on board, we really just want people out there to get on board and make sure we’re successful and sustainable.
“The support was in the room, we just outlined what we need to do to be a successful, sustainable team in 2017 and onwards.
People have to realize that we really need to get out there and get the support.”
Bromley was hopeful some of the club’s noteable ex-players would play a major role in helping the Roosters get back on their feet.
North Ballarat has been a pathway for many successful footballers, with premiership captain Nick Maxwell one of its most decorated.
“There’s a lot of very high-profile ex-players that have been a part of North Ballarat – Nick Maxwell, Brett Goodes.
He’s (Maloney) looking to get to all the ex-players and getting them to sign up and support the team that has done so much for their football development.”
