The online bookmaker has reported a $4000 wager on Golden Spin to upset Weir’s talented up-and-comer on Saturday.
That bet was made at $6, with the Lee and Anthony Freedman-trained horse wound into $4.80 as a result.
Of the other early big bets on the card, one punter has had $2,500 on Lady Le Fay at $9 to win the Ballarat Cup and there has been a $1,000 go on Algorithm to take out the Magic Millions 2YO Clockwise Classic at $14.

The Freedmans’ gelding has firmed this week from $8 to $6, but punter support has been muted. The best backed runner is Lord van Percy, which has shortened from an early quote of $21 into $14.
