The 201cm forward will arrive at the Miners after graduating from the University of Delaware – majoring in criminal justice and sociology – where he captained his college team in junior and senior years.
King-Davis’ final year in college saw him average 15 points and nine rebounds per game.
Despite King-Davis being younger than imports the Miners have recruited in the past, the club’s elite teams chair Matt Sheehan is confident he will fit in well.
“Our import recruitment for 2017 was thorough with the club considering and interviewing several players over skype to ensure we selected the right player and we feel that Marvin is that player,” he said.
King-Davis spent time with BC Boncourt Red in Switzerland straight after college and is expected to arrive in Ballarat between late February and early March next year.
