The Ballarat Construction Management owner-director has captured the Master Builders Australia young master builder of the year title. He was presented in a glamourous gala dinner in the Great Hall at Parliament House, Canberra.
Mr Moyle was humbled by the honour, having been first shortlisted and winning the state level prize.
“It’s a real privilege just to be involved at a national level,” Mr Moyle said. "I’m proud to bring the award back to the Ballarat. The construction industry here is really strong, and I’m pleased to give something back.”
BCM has collected a string of building awards this year, starting with the prestigious New York’s Architizer A+ 2016 people’s choice award for best building facade for the company’s new, unique and state-of-the-art head office on Humffray Street South.
The company has been on a roll since with work on luxury retreats in Hepburn also particularly well-received. National young builder of the year encompasses the whole year’s achievements.
The award is for a builder, under 40 years of age, held in high-regard of industry peers, demonstrating a high level of client satisfaction, and contributing to the betterment of the industry.
Mr Moyle said the national awards were by invitation only and usually dominated by New South Wales and ACT builders – but he was fortunate to have such a supportive industry in Ballarat.
“Master Builders Association of Ballarat has a long history, it’s been around for more than 100 years,” Mr Moyle said. “We’ve got really good members and the members really drive the whole association and industry forward.”
Mr Moyle is a past president for Master Builders Association Ballarat and serves on the association’s state board.
