Louise Ruyi and Thomas Lambeth were visiting Mr Lambeth’s family when thieves broke into their car, stealing a camera gifted by Ms Ruyi’s father and a Lenovo Thinkpad.
The camera and laptop contained all the photos from the couple’s recent engagement.
“I think what’s more devastating is the memories that can’t be recreated, and the memories are in the hands of these brash small time criminals who are acting without regard for anyone else’s well being or peace of mind,” Ms Ruyi said.
The couple, who live in Melbourne, are offering a reward for the items to be returned.
The thieves left the battery pack for both the camera and laptop behind, meaning they would have “very little resale value”, Ms Ruyi said.
The Canon camera had a Tamron lens and was in a navy Camera House bag.
