McCullagh from Warrnambool is third after taking out the eighth round at Moama at the weekend.
He took the points from Brayden Parr, with New South Wales driver Sam Walsh third.
The series moves to the Buninyong speedway for the first time in several years on Saturday, February 4.
Glen Sutherland is the aggregate leader of 2379 points from Tim Van Ginneken, 2352 and McCullagh, 2253, with Brett Milburn next on 2247.
McCullagh took pole position for the A main event at Moama and after making the most of a couple of restarts had his second ever win in the series and first this season. Seven different drivers have won feature events in the Eureka series, highlighting the even nature of the racing.
