The Miners will face Frankston in their second game of the season at the Minerdome on Thursday, April 6.
Ballarat last had a special midweek drawcard two years ago.
The Miners begin their season on the road against Geelong on Friday, March 31 – a doubleheader with Ballarat Rush.
Rush makes its first home appearance against Melbourne Tigers on Saturday, April 22 .
Melbourne is one of two teams in the SEABL women’s conference, with Sydney University also an addition.
This means there will be 15 teams in the women’s and men’s competitions.
Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence will face each team once, but not play finals.
Ballarat will play in the south conferences.
